The Government are to announce changes to the existing rules for taking legal action in accident compensation claims using Conditional Fee Agreements, better known as No Win, No Fee agreements. The changes will affect CFA's entered into after November 2005. The aim is to simplify the regulations which, to date, require solicitors to provide lengthy explanations on matters which in our experience can cause more confusion for the client , than clarity. Clients interests will be protected as solicitors will still need to comply with Law Society practice rules which ensures that clients are fully advised on matters of liabilty for their legal costs. |
