A little bit of good news for property buyers, the nil rate tax band for the payment of Stamp Duty has increased in this years budget to £125,000. The remaining bands remain the same as last year.

The Inheritance Tax rate was increased so that Inheritance Tax becomes payable on chargeable transfers above £285,000.
